For most people buying a child a book is usually a spur of the moment thing, the book caught your eye or caught your child’s attention, you take a quick look and then purchases it. At other times you see a book that has your child’s favorite television personality as the star of the book and you think that he/she will love this and purchase it. In other words most people buy a children’s book as a spur of the moment decision or from a book club they signed up for. This in itself is not a problem, but what if we had some intention with our shopping for a good children’s book just like we would for the right toy or video game? What if you knew what you’re looking for like a child would for a video game? They know right away when they see the right game and trust me it was not spur of the moment. The right book might not always be the one that caught your eye or has your child’s favorite t.v. character. So how do we find that right book.
